Alan Olifson is comedian, award-winning humor writer and radio
commentator. His column appeared for two years in the Boston Phoenix
where he consecutively won the New England Press Association Award for
Best Humor Columnist. This column, along with new writings, are being
compiled into his book, "ManChild: My Life without Adult Supevision."
Alan brings the same self-deprecating wit from his writing to his
radio commentaries, which can be heard on Public Radio
International's "To the Best of Our Knowledge" and "Weekend
America." He is also a fixture on L.A.'s burgeoning storytelling
scene. Alan appears regularly in shows around the city, including
Comedy Central Stage's Sit 'n' Spin, and produces his own bi-monthly
storytelling series, WordPlay. This groundbreaking series combines a
live DJ soundtrack with essay readings, creating a one-of-a-kind
comedy experience.
